Your Blue Gate Photography experience begins with a brief phone consultation to discuss your needs and walk you through our process. Next, we'll meet in person to plan the details, finalize locations, and explore product options and pricing together.

When it's time for your session, we'll meet at the agreed-upon location. Outdoor sessions typically last 45 minutes to an hour, while newborn studio sessions may take 3-4 hours. After the session, I'll carefully curate the best images and provide a light edit on the selected shots.

After your proofs are ready, we'll reconvene in the comfort of your home or via video call to review your images and choose your preferred products. Once your order is placed, we'll finalize the edits and arrange for delivery. Digital files are usually ready within 2 weeks, and printed products are delivered within 6-8 weeks. Then, it's time to enjoy your stunning new artwork, guaranteed to be cherished for years to come.

Our goal is to capture your day in a manner that you'll cherish forever.

The experience

Simply fill out the contact me page, or email me at nicole@bluegatephoto.com. We will start with a short phone call to get an idea of the type of session you are looking for. From there we will meet in studio or by video chat to discuss all the details and plan your session out.

How do I book a session with Blue Gate Photography?

01.

We love to photograph maternity, newborn, sitter, 1st birthday, family, kids, and senior sessions. We also occasionally do engagement sessions and headshots.

What types of photography sessions do you offer?

02.

Our newborn sessions are done inside our Folsom studio. We also sometimes can do sitter or first birthday sessions in studio. All other sessions are done outside.

Do you offer indoor and outdoor photography sessions?

03.

That really depends on the time of year and type of session you are wanting. It's a good idea to book your maternity and newborn session at the start of your second trimester. For family sessions during peak season (sep-dec) it's best to book at least a month in advance. However, even if you missed these deadlines its ok to inquire about any last minute openings we may have.

How far in advance should I book my session?

04.

No, all digital and print items are sold separately. I do offer digital and print collection as well as a la carte prints. If you decide to purchase prints, every print includes a digital copy.

Are digital files included in your session fee?

05.

Absolutely! Just let me know ahead of time what you would like to bring so that i can come up with a plan on how to incorporate it. Please be aware that most newborn clothing that you purchase online or in store may fit large on your baby as they are designed to allow baby to grow into. I have plenty of outfits and props that are purchased from specialty vendors so that they fit newborns snugly.

Can I bring props or special items to incorporate into my session?
